13th July, 2009

Withers & Rogers LLP has agreed to support the launch of a new survey that is targeting all UK based developers of clean technology.

Known as the Rushlight Cleantech survey, the initiative provides a platform for developers in this important industry sector to provide feedback to national government on issues affecting them. There is also an opportunity to identify ways that those responsible for directing policy can help tackle some of the challenges developers face.

In particular, the report seeks to highlight key geographic areas where significant clean technological development is taking place, the types of technology being pursued, what stage various technologies are in their development, areas requiring greater attention, the hurdles they are facing and where support has proven most helpful so far in assisting new technologies. Looking forward, participants have a chance also to highlight where they feel help is most needed.

By way of an incentive for people to participate, those taking part will be offered a package of benefits including free introductory telephone advice on legal, intellectual property (care of Withers & Rogers), investor readiness, technical copywriting and incubator support. There will also be discounts for those wishing to enter the Rushlight Awards 2009, a free one month trial to an on-line Cleantech news and transaction database, a free trial subscription to a magazine devoted to the Cleantech sector and a copy of the final report.

The collated results will be sent to all Government departments and agencies involved with any aspect of climate change, the low carbon economy and the environment in general. For anyone wishing to participate, please click on the link below:
