Career to date
Mark joined us in 1987 from Sandoz AG (now Norvatis AG), in Switzerland.

Mark has a large amount of experience in the UK and Community trade mark arenas, conducting searches and oppositions for clients.
Sector experience
Mark handles searching, trade mark prosecution work and oppositions for clients across a broad range of industry sectors, both in the UK and abroad.
Client experience
Mark’s clients include Microsoft, with whom he has worked for over 10 years mainly on the acquisition of trade mark rights in the EU.
Notable successes
Mark has enjoyed considerable success on behalf of his clients in appealing against adverse decisions in Community trade mark cases.
On a personal note...
Mark is a keen all-weather cyclist and rambler, with a particular fondness for the Lake District. He is also captain of a local chess team. He has recently tried and enjoyed scuba diving and would like to do more of this in the future. When no one is around, he likes to play classical guitar!
