Fiona has a Double Honours degree in French and German from the University of Salford.
Fiona began in the trade mark profession in 1990 as an in-house trade mark attorney for an international healthcare company. She joined Withers & Rogers in 2001, became a Partner in 2002 and moved from Leamington to our Bristol office in 2003. Fiona is a member of FICPI.
Fiona’s previous experience of private practice and industry enables her to access the commercial needs of a business whilst offering practical advice. She enjoys advising clients on the value of IP to their business.
Fiona deals with trade mark applications across a wide spectrum of sectors, but has particular experience in medical products, healthcare and retail.
Fiona’s client portfolio includes Ginsters and Somerfield. She advises on trade mark protection, strategy and clearance.
Fiona succeeded in getting the YORK Trailor trade mark registered after a famous case in which the Trade Mark Registry had previously refused to pass it.
Fiona has two young children which keep her busy most of the time, but when free time is available, Fiona enjoys tennis, food and drink and motorsport. She is also the proud owner of a 1962 vintage car and attends vintage rallies with her husband and family.
