Justin has a degree in biochemistry from the University of Oxford. Justin studied organic chemistry, and all aspects of molecular and cellular biochemistry, with final year specialisation in immunology and neuropharmacology. For his dissertation, Justin spent four months working in the Microbiology department.
Following on from his degree, Justin worked as a Research Assistant in the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, Oxford. Justin joined Withers and Rogers’ London office in 2005 and qualified as a UK and European Patent Attorney in 2009.
Justin has a broad scientific background and is methodical with particular attention to detail.
Justin has experience in a wide range of areas in the life sciences, including biochemistry and immunology. Some of the specific areas he has worked on with clients include: new active pharmaceutical ingredients, and formulations of pharmaceuticals; methods for genetically engineering bacteria; vaccines; RNA therapeutics; protein crystals; screening methods using genetic and/or protein markers; diagnostic kits and protein chemistry. Justin also has experience in plant variety rights.
Justin is a keen skier. He has represented Oxford University in the annual Varsity races and the Oxfordshire Ski Club, and has spent time working in the French Alps.
Justin also enjoys playing cricket and tennis.
