Andrew graduated from the University of Reading in 2003 with a first class Masters degree in Physics and the Universe. He co-authored a paper reporting the results of his final-year project, published in a scientific journal in November 2003.
After graduating, Andrew took time out to travel and work in Canada and the USA. After spending a season working at a ski resort in British Columbia, he returned to the UK and began a career in patents as a patent searcher for a large London-based searching firm.
Andrew joined Withers and Rogers as a trainee in October 2006, working in the London office, primarily for Howard Wright. He qualified as a UK Patent Attorney in 2010.
Andrew has experience liaising with and presenting to small and large groups and companies. He also has a basic knowledge of the French and German languages.
Andrew has a broad physics background, but specializes in communications, medical devices and electronic devices. He also has experience of filing and prosecuting registered design applications.
In his spare time, Andrew enjoys adrenalin-fuelled sports including skiing and surfing, and has even completed a few sky-dives! Closer to home, he volunteers as a presenter on hospital radio.
