Jon Hauser is an Associate in our Electronics, Computing & Physics group.
Jon has worked with clients in a wide variety of technology sectors, including mobile telecoms, encryption, electric vehicle power systems, clean technology and medical devices.
His clients are based across the UK, Europe and the United States, from small start-ups exploring the possibilities of intellectual property protection to large multi-nationals wanting to effectively assert large established patent portfolios.
Jon studied Physics at the University of Bristol, gaining a Masters of Physics degree in 2005. During this degree Jon had the opportunity to work for Siemens Medical for 13 months, where he specialised in developing magnetic resonant imaging scanners. In his final year project he designed and developed zinc oxide/cadmium telluride photovoltaic cells, using nano-scale fabrication techniques to further increase the light collection efficiency.
Working in conjunction with NHS Bristol and the University of Bristol, Jon continued his study of nanoscience and gained his PhD in 2013. Jon’s research focused on developing therapeutic fluorescent nanoparticles for use as medical tracers, surgery aids and targeted disease treatments. Through his research at the interface of Biology and Physics, Jon gained significant experience in clinical research, fluorescent imaging and developing new medical devices.
Jon enjoys mountaineering, caving and scuba diving in his free time.
