Attorney, Operations and IP Support vacancies

Applications are usually reviewed on receipt – if there’s a more structured recruitment timeline, the details will be included in the advert.

Trainee vacancies

Vacancies are typically advertised in September, with offers made in December – a standard across the profession. However, we do recruit trainees outside of this window, so we recommend that prospective candidates sign up for job alerts. Vacancies are usually advertised for 4-6 weeks, with the closing date included in the advert. We always aim to update candidates on their application within two weeks of the closing date.

What you should expect

  • All vacancies are published on our latest opportunities page – sign up for job alerts to receive notifications for any roles that match your search criteria
  • Our application form is online – all progress will be saved once you start the application
  • For all vacancies we ask for a CV, cover letter, and some personal information such as location and notice period
  • For trainee positions we also ask for a summary of education history and why you are interested in becoming a trainee
  • In addition, we ask Diversity & Inclusion questions, but these are voluntary
  • Applications are reviewed and if you meet out shortlisting requirements, you will be invited to complete an online assessment
  • If you are successful at the assessment stage, you will be invited for interview
  • Most attorney, operations and IP support roles include a two-stage interview process which may take place via Microsoft Teams or in person
  • For trainee positions, we hold in-person assessment days at one of our offices.

AI Tools

Our position on the use of Artificial Intelligence

At Withers & Rogers, we are committed to a fair and human-centred recruitment process and we do not use artificial intelligence to make decisions about candidates. From initial application review to final selection, every stage is handled by experienced professionals who value individual potential and diverse perspectives.

We want genuine insights into who you are, your experience, skills and motivation – therefore we kindly ask that all applications should be written without the use of AI tools.

Reasonable adjustments

We understand that everyone is different and that individuals may require that we make reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process, including the application process, online assessment or interview stage. If you need reasonable adjustments to be made, please contact us at any point, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
