New appointment in Paris supports W&R’s continued European service

28 March 2023

Marie-Claude Pellegrini has been appointed as a W&R partner and brings a wealth of experience in specialist areas of aeronautics, automotive and advanced technologies.

Based in our Paris office, Marie-Claude is joining the Withers & Rogers partnership to develop our growing French offering in a client-led strategic move, which is part of the firm’s broader growth strategy. Marie-Claude joins at an especially important time which also sees Paris as the location of one of the most significant elements of the new European Unified Patent Court (UPC).

Joining other members of the growing Paris office, Russell Edson and Yannick Biron, Marie-Claude is a highly experienced French and European patent attorney, and her skills and experience greatly complement those of Russell, who is a partner and a qualified British, French and European patent attorney. Yannick Biron is also a French and European patent attorney. The move further strengthens Withers & Rogers’ ability to cover all IP protection needs in both the EU and UK jurisdictions.

When asked about the move, Marie-Claude said, “I am delighted to join Withers & Rogers in Paris and very excited to have the opportunity to contribute to this growing team of experts.” Marie-Claude cites the Unified Patent Court and Unitary Patent as being excellent opportunities for innovative businesses requiring IP protection in France and the wider European region to incorporate into their multi-geographical IP protection strategy.

“Withers & Rogers is an ideal specialist IP firm within which I can pursue my passion for science and legal practice, supporting a range of organisations and enabling them to protect their inventions and develop their business strategy.”
