Our people

Hubert has significant experience in the prosecution of German and European patent applications including opposition and appeal proceedings. In addition, his work focuses on the drafting of patent applications, expert opinions, and nullity actions.

Education & background

Hubert graduated with a Diplom-degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). He acquired in-depth knowledge in medical technology, numerical methods, and fundamentals in engineering sciences. Before starting his training as a patent attorney, Hubert worked as a development engineer and project manager for a pressure equipment manufacturer and was particularly involved in the development of energy-efficient sterilisation chambers.

Before joining Withers & Rogers in 2022, Hubert completed his training as a German Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney in a renowned Munich patent law firm. Hubert continued to work there as a patent attorney after graduation. In March 2023, he was registered as a representative before the new Unified Patent Court, one of the first European patent attorneys to be entered on the list of UPC representatives.

On a personal note...

Hubert spends most of his free time with his family. He is a passionate musician and enjoys being out and about in the local mountains throughout summer and winter.
